grubby what is your thought about this ,more mph or faster down the straights .and what about the jp`s that are just starting out .might be a little fast for them .might be great for the older kids with more experience.and what about going to3800 rpm or 3850.would be good on a long track but don`t  know on a short tracks.might be something to kick around the more experienced drivers and sense you don`t have a stock class, maybe a 9yr. old to a 11 yr. old 9 to 1 class then move up to 7 to 1 class when there 12 yrs old to 15 yrs old and get some seat time under there belt.could build a good ss or jp and change gearing as they get older.                thanks just my 2 cents doesn`t mean much. tony  rofl

i WOULD HATE to see more classes added. Here is something we me John and several others have kicked around. Keep J/P as it is... Then the Super Stock class simply bump up the Ratio to 7 to 1 or 6.5 to 1 whatever it may be. No age restrictions on Super Stock. Only restriction is minors (kids) must have one year experiance in the 8 to 1 class before being allowed to move up into the faster class. THE thought process here is it will put driving and handling more to play may spread the wad out a little your gonna have to back off some for the corners and will the handle and drive back into the racing instead of a talladega freight train for 20 laps.

Just drop the Super Stock class and have 2 j/p classes. One for beginners(9 to 1?) and one for experienced(7 to 1?). Any one running SS can move up a class. It would be the same only not governed...   What is the potential MPH for a 7to1 ratio?

7 to 1 ratio in 5th gear 20/30 internal gearset Transmission, up from 8 to 1 is only gaining 3.5 mph. 6.5 to 1 gets you a little over 5 mph gain. Thats at 3650.

They are simply kicking ideas thats been passed to them. Seeing what racers thoughts are. Then I pass the thoughts back to them.

How about staying 8 to 1 and going un governed for the adult classes. We seen some of these run this last weekend and was impressed. They run a lot closer race then you would think.and was a bit faster. Most stock engines will only pull wheel speed to about 4400 RPM anyway. We have to keep in mind we have a lot of father son teams and or mother daughter teams that share same mower. Need to figure out how to override gov from 1 class to the other. I think it can be done simple and fast.

With that said and the more I think about it, best to leave it alone!!! There are other classes to go faster in 7 to be exact.

Yup after further thinking just leave it alone with one exception. OPEN it up to 17hp motors and below or those running other assoc will not be legal with us....
