George,

Any word on the track at E.C. in Dickson that you had mentioned earlier?

It still a wanna be at this time. He wants to get a dozer in and move some dirt to give us a bit more room to work with. As it sits right now it very smooth but narrow. Was a pulling track originally. Just takes time. Fingers are crossed.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly

Changed again. Track will be inside the paved kart oval. Nice facility and lots of room.

Went up saturday to the build clinic and looked over where the track is. looks good to me, look like it would be smooth and shouldn't take much to fix up In my eyes.

Well it looks good real good. The trun fartherest from the building were the roughest. We tilled that up and box bladed it. Filled one low spot coming off that turn into the straight. Carroll is gonna rent a roller and we are gonna roll it till we sick of rolling. I ran on it and it was pretty darn good. before we worked on it. Straights are app 175 feet long. 30 foot wide racing surface. The track will be lined with tires. Not end to end but scattered. Intent is to keep the racer honest. AND they were free. Biggest thing is everyone in will be in the pits no real spectator area. So those not members will pay the regular pit fee but will be able to go anywhere. But we will be ready.

Nothing like getting the fan closer to the action... and makes them want to be a racer.

Well the First Race at Dickson came off  without a hitch. Due to it being MOTHERS day weekend, (HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all the moms) Racer turn out was low. BUT thats ok Family first, thats what we always say and mean We still had some good racing. We had a new racer in the sportsman class Mark Ford. He ran with the supersportsman class and even though he spun out twice he never got lapped and a yellow never come out. He would just do a 360 and keep going. For those that missed this race you have one more chance at this track. IT was fast and FUN. One of the more enjoyable tracks I been on in a while. All the drivers said so. Can'yt explain why it was just a fun track to race on. OH and Kenny WILD THANG Thomas. Strap your helmet on a little tighter and tighten them shoe laces up a bit harder. You now got a bit of competetion buddy. We got someone as wild as me and your both...........

George,
Don't forget to put your rear brake back to your settings. Thanks again for letting me pilot that rocketship in Ootalwah. That was some ride. Sorry about the sticker and small dent.
